Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts

The collections of the Musée cantonal des Beaux- Arts are exhibited at their present location in the Palais de Rumine since 1904.

Before that they were at the Musée Arlaud the first museum in Lausanne that was open in 1841. Whereas three galleries are permanently dedicated to the collection, the other galleries are used to show temporary exhibitions of importance dedicated to contemporary artists or more ancient creators.
