Culture accessible for everyone...
The Festival de la Cité was founded in 1971 by the municipality of Lausanne, which wanted to offer their citizens a place for an annually and culturally meeting in the historic section of the town Lausanne.
Confident that culture has to be open for everyone in a chummily way, they installed a festival for free.
Classic music, poesy, theater, francophonic songs, jazz, rock, street art, contemporary dance, cinema: the Festival offers something for everyone.
