Just as in the women’s trial race in Madrid today, three British men finished in the top eight places to seal their selection for Team GB at the Beijing Olympics.  Alistair Brownlee, (20 years) finished third one place ahead of Tim Don (30 years) with Will Clarke (23 years) finishing sixth. Stuart Hayes was first Brit to exit the swim in 4th place, Don was 8th, Brownlee 12th and Will Clarke 13th.  Oliver Freeman was 15th and Andrew Johns back in 52nd place.
